Welcome to the Superbridge documentation! If you're here you probably have some questions about how it works, what features are offered or if it's safe to use.

If so, you're in the right place! Continue reading to get a feel for what we offer and if your questions aren't answered please don't be shy to reach out!

What is Superbridge?

Superbridge is your entrypoint into the world of blockchain rollups! With Superbridge you can bridge Ether and other tokens into and out of any supported rollup. Usually these rollups are built on top of Ethereum but not always.

The main thing you're going to be doing with Superbridge will be bridging assets between settlement chains, like Ethereum Mainnet, and rollups, like Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, Zora, etc.

Read our full guide for the relevant ecosystems, Optimism and Arbitrum to see how they differ, or jump into our What is bridging? explanation to see how it works at a high level.

Forced Withdrawals

You can get the full benefit of Ethereum's censorship resistance with our Forced Withdrawals feature. These withdrawals cost a little more gas, because the initiating transaction needs to go via Ethereum.

You can read more about Forced Withdrawals and how they work in the context of OP rollups here

Easy Mode

If you don't want to deal with the hassle of sending multiple transactions and remembering to come back to finalize a withdrawal 7 days later, Easy Mode is for you. For a small fee (to cover gas costs) when initiating your withdrawal we'll will handle relaying your withdrawal to Ethereum mainnet and even refund you any leftover ETH!

You can read more about Easy Mode and how it works here for Optimism and here for Arbitrum.
